An Exhibition on the Polish Community in South Yorkshire
From 6 November 2015 to 8 February 2016
This exhibition aims to tell the story of the Polish communities in South Yorkshire, exploring how they started a new life here while maintaining aspects of their own culture. The exhibition, which will be open from 6 November 2015 to 8 February 2016, explores the lives of the Polish people who settled in England after the Second World War as well as of those who have recently moved to Sheffield.
Alongside the exhibition, we will host an informal panel discussion on the Polish community in South Yorkshire. This will take place on Saturday 5th December at 2pm. The panel will be made up of noted members of the Polish community, including ex-servicemen, experts of Polish descendant and Polish people recently arrived to Sheffield. The discussion will be followed by tea and traditional Polish sweets. Everyone welcome!
This event is free, but booking is required (to book please email firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 0114 2722522).
