Our Clergy
Rev Fr Christopher Mark Posluszny, Cathedral Dean
Fr Chris Posluszny was born on 4th July 1960 in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and was ordained as a priest in England on 11th July 1987. He served as an Assistant Priest at St Marie’s 1990-94 and returned to take up the post of Cathedral Dean in 2008.
Fr Chris is also Parish Priest of Our Lady Queen of Heaven and St Oswald (Wybourn), and Holy Family (Arbourthorne). He is a Trustee for the Diocese of Hallam, and a Director of St Clare’s Multi-Academy Trust (of Catholic Schools).
He is also the Parish Priest of the personal, non-territorial, Parish of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, serving the Slovak community in the Diocese. The church of St Charles Borromeo (Attercliffe) is now used by this parish community.
Rev Fr Henry Woodhouse, Assistant Priest
Fr Henry was ordained in his parish church (St Peter-in-Chains, Doncaster) on 9th July 2022. He became an Assistant Priest at St Marie’s in the autumn of 2024, and helps with the adjoining parishes of Our Lady Queen of Heaven & St Oswald in Wybourn, and Holy Family in Arbourthorne.
Rev Fr Christian Nnamdi Nwakamma, Assistant Priest
Fr Christian was born on 28th September 1979 in Nigeria, and was ordained a priest of the Hallam Diocese on 22nd June 2024. He became an Assistant Priest here at St Marie’s a few months later, and also assists with our adjoining parishes.
Other Cathedral Staff
Mr Robert Webb, Cathedral Organist
Robert Webb became the Organist of St Marie’s Cathedral in May 2019.
He is also the Director of several South Yorkshire choirs, including the one at St Marie’s Cathedral, and has a busy teaching practice through the Milsom School of Music.
Mr Matthew Hazell, Cathedral Office Administrator
Matthew Hazell has worked in the Cathedral office since October 2016. He has a Masters in Biblical Studies from the University of Sheffield.
