St Marie’s is always delighted to welcome schools who wish to come and explore our beautiful Cathedral, and we have a team of experienced Tour Guides to help you make the most of your visit. Tours are adapted and tailored to suit your year group, and the Church Hall can also be made available to you upon request.
School Tours are usually arranged for Wednesdays starting at 10am and last just over an hour. Arrangements can occasionally be made for other days.
The Tours aim give a general introduction into the Cathedral as a place of prayer, worship and heritage for the Catholics of Sheffield – as illustrated in its art and architecture. Stories are also shared to bring the church’s history to life.
